Read Genius can work with any windows applications such as ICQ, MSN, Microsoft Word, Outlook Express... You can just hide it in the system tray by clicking the minimize button, when you chat online with your friends, write your articles with Microsoft Word or write an e-mail with Outlook Express, read Genius will be working at the background and read aloud every word or sentence you've just typed.
